Did you know that the United States has the highest maternal mortality rate in the developed world with approximately 700 women dying every year from pregnancy- or childbirth-related complications?

In fact, AnalyticsIQ’s home state of Georgia has the second-highest mortality rate in the country, and African American women are disproportionately impacted as they are 3-4x more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth-related issues than Caucasian women.

That is why we are so proud to contribute to Hack4Equity: Health Equity for Georgia’s Black Mothers – a virtual hackathon designed to create innovative solutions to address maternal health disparities in the state of Georgia. Specifically, our team is donating a subset of our PeopleCore data related to social determinants of health, or SDoH, to empower participants to identify and understand potential health inequities.

As the only data provider contributing external data to this important initiative, we need your help in the fight for change and invite you to participate in Hack4EquityGA. Brought to you by Accenture, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, Healthy Mothers, Johnson & Johnson, and Microsoft, this event is open to hackers worldwide from September 24-26th.
